Formative Assessment in the Merdeka Curriculum English Textbook entitled English for Nusantara

Using formative assessment to analyze tasks in the textbook is uncommonly used. Textbooks as primary resources should follow latest curriculum version teaching-learning processes. This study aimed at investigating implementation of on speaking and writing activities "English for Nusantara" textbook. Qualitative research was used approach collect research. Types were analyzed using assessing skills by Brown (2003) typical activity criteria Irons (2008). The result showed that majority this are discussions conversations (interactive speaking), one each type oral presentation (extensive picture-cued (intensive/extensive speaking). In addition that, commonly paragraph construction (responsive extensive writing), short-answer sentence completion (intensive guided question answer. Furthermore, found diagnostic tests, practical exercises, student demonstrations, group discussion/work, presentations, checklists, self-assessments. Finally, findings may provide scientific information about types support teacher practices assessment. future studies needed continue a guide with varying levels order obtain more regarding
